Built over a century ago on land once part of the Moses Cone apple orchard, this cabin has been thoughtfully updated while keeping the character that only 100+ years can give a place. Wake up to 100-mile views from the master suite, send the kids to the loft, and spend the evening on a 700 square foot deck watching the sun drop behind the mountains.

This cabin was built over a hundred years ago by — and eventually gifted to — the caretaker of the Cone Family Apple Orchard. It sits on 20 acres of mountain land just 2.5 miles from Main Street in Blowing Rock, with 100-mile views from almost every room.
We've spent years carefully updating it to maintain the rich history while adding the comforts you'd expect from a modern stay. Tongue and groove spruce walls. A stone fireplace that makes the living room feel like it's always been here. A master suite with a king bed, private balcony, and views over Blackberry Gorge that stretch all the way to Charlotte on a clear day.
The main level sleeps nine, with a king bed in the master, a queen in the second bedroom, three twins, and a convertible sofa. The lower level is entirely separate — accessed from the deck — with its own queen bedroom, living area, and convertible sofa. Two families, two levels, shared views.
Upstairs, the kids get their own world in the Clubhouse loft: sleeping cubbies, a queen bed, and more games than they'll know what to do with. You'll hear them laughing from the deck while you're watching the sunset with a glass of wine in the egg chair. That's the whole point.
From the master bed, the balcony, the deck, the living room — they're everywhere.
Sleeping cubbies, a queen bed, games galore. The kids won't want to leave.
Egg chairs, gas fire pit, Adirondack chairs, grill. This is where evenings happen.
Main level and lower level each have their own bedroom, living area, and entrance.
Mountain views from the hot tub. Best experienced after a day of hiking.
Downtown Blowing Rock shops, restaurants, and galleries are a 5-minute drive.
3 bedrooms, 8 beds, 3 bathrooms across 2 levels plus the kids loft. Here's who sleeps where.
This cabin is part of The Orchard at Blowing Rock — 20 acres of mountain land that also includes the Tiny Cabin, the GeoDome, and the TreePod. Most guests don't know they're all connected. Now you do.
Book the Grand Cabin for your family. Or book the entire Orchard — cabins and domes — for a group of up to 16+ and have the whole mountaintop to yourselves.

"The place was even more beautiful than the pictures or description could do justice for. We hosted a team building retreat there which it worked out amazing for! I most definitely will be back with my family and children!"Victoria
"I have stayed at numerous vacation rentals over the years and have never felt compelled to write a review but this place deserves to be raved about! Everything was spotless, well stocked with lots of small extras. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into what a renter may want or need."Meagan
"This space was everything we wanted and more for my girls weekend. Between the hot tub, views from the master bedroom waking up to eating breakfast looking out at the sunrise — it is a stunning property in the perfect location."Mary Nell
"Super clean home, nice and spacious. Unbeatable views, private but still just a few minutes to town. We have stayed in various homes around Blowing Rock. This one takes the cake for sure."Adam
