A Unique High Country Experience

Enjoy the High Country and take part in history. The cabins at Cone Orchard is a legacy property spanning more than 100 years and was originally a part of the Moses Cone apple orchard. Walk down our private road and see if you can find one of the apple trees from the original orchard.

This Tiny Cabin was originally the studio of a well known artist in Blowing Rock. We’ve updated it with stunning tongue and groove ceiling and walls, a luxurious bedroom with 100 mile views, and its own kitchenette and open living area.

Kate’s Tiny Cabin has a rich history in the area and was built by and eventually gifted to the caretaker of the Cone Family Apple Orchard. We’ve worked hard to update and remodel this beauty so that it maintains the rich history but includes the modern luxuries that you’re accustomed to.

Kate’s Tiny Cabin includes an open living area that includes a well stocked kitchenette, cozy nook overlooking the 100 mile views and comfy couch and furnishings. Inside, you’ll find a luxurious walk in shower and well equipped bathroom.

Hands down, the best feature on the property are the views, they are absolutely outstanding. Kate’s Tiny Cabin has 100 mile views from from the living area, kitchenette and cozy nook.

Outside, you’ll find a large 700sqft deck that is shared with the neighboring cabin. The deck is complete with string lights, Adirondack chairs and firepit to boot.

While you’re enjoying some of that sweet solitude in the Tiny Cabin, you’ll dream about your afternoon walk down out private road or your morning hike down to our pond.

In the evenings, take your time enjoying the swinging egg chairs, charming gas fire pit or lounge in one of many Adirondack chairs.

Spend your days exploring the twenty plus acres. Strap your boots on for a hike down the mountain to the private pond or take a leisurely stroll down our private road. Whether you adventure down the mountain or stroll up top, you’ll find more fun than you can shake a stick at.

Appalachian Ski Mountain is 5.5 miles, Tweetsie Railroad is only 6 miles away and ASU and Boone are 10 miles. Downtown Blowing Rock is just a 2.5 miles away. Banner Elk is just 17 minutes from the cabin and Grandfather Mountain is a quick jaunt on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Kate’s Tiny Cabin is a part of a large 20 acre tract. On the property, there are additional cabins and stays that can be rented if you’re looking to book for a larger party. The large deck with the swinging egg chairs and Adirondack chairs is a shared space with the Grand Cabin (see link below). By renting Kate’s Tiny Cabin, you may see other guests on the large deck during your stay.
