The space

You’re only 2.5 miles from Main Street in Blowing Rock. This cabin has a rich history in the area and was built by and eventually gifted to the caretaker of the Cone Family Apple Orchard. We’ve been hard at work updating and remodeling this beauty so that it maintains the rich history but includes the modern luxuries that you’re used to.

The cabin includes a main level with interior steps that lead to the clubhouse as well as a completely separate lower level that is accessed by way of the deck, allowing the opportunity for two master suites (one on the main level and another on the lower level). The main level sleeps nine (king bed, queen bed, three twin beds and a couch that converts to another queen bed), while the lower level sleeps three (one queen bed and one convertible sofa that converts to a full size bed).

Hands down, the best feature are the views, they are absolutely outstanding. This cabin has 100 mile views from almost every room, including the main level master suite. From the main level master, you’ll look out over Blackberry Gorge toward Charlotte and see until the earth makes its curve. If you’re not taking in the view with a cup of coffee from the luxurious king bed, you’ll be sipping on some sweet goodness out on the private master balcony.

While you’re enjoying some of that sweet solitude in the master suite, you’ll take comfort in knowing that the kids are resting well or playing games in the Clubhouse complete with sleeping cubbies and more fun than you can fit in a basket. Oh, and we put a sweet queen bed up there too…

In the evenings, take your time enjoying the 700 square foot deck complete with swinging egg chairs, charming gas fire pit or lounge in one of many Adirondack chairs.

Spend your days exploring the twenty plus acres. Strap your boots on for a hike down the mountain to the private pond or take a leisurely stroll down the gravel road. Whether you adventure down the mountain or stroll up top, you’ll find more fun than you can shake a stick at.

“The place was even more beautiful than the pictures or description could do justice for the place. We hosted a team building retreat there which it worked out amazing for! I most definitely will be back with my family and children!” – Victoria

“I have stayed at numerous vacation rentals over the years and have never felt compelled to write a review but this place deserves to be raved about! It was absolutely wonderful beginning to end. Everything was spotless when we arrived and was well stocked with lots of small extras like games, blankets, and toiletries. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into what a renter may want or need while there. The property itself is in a great location with amazing views and the hike to the pond was short and beautiful!” – Meagan

“Super clean home, nice and spacious. Unbeatable views, private but still just a few minutes to town. We have stayed in various homes around Blowing Rock. This one takes the cake for sure.” – Adam

“This space was everything we wanted and more for my girls weekend. Between the hot tub, views from the master bedroom waking up to eating breakfast looking out at the sunrise, it is a stunning property in the perfect location right off the highway. Also might add- we had 5 women stay here, and the hot water heater was the most impressive part because no one ever took an even remotely cold shower! Lol” – Mary Nell

“Lots of amenities and it was decorated in a very up-to-date way. We felt like we were staying in a cozy English cottage with the stone fireplace. Location was close to Blowing Rock town, shops and restaurants. Our young adult children enjoyed playing the games provided and the hot tub.” – Mikayla

“My family and I adored Brian’s place! We thought it was too good to be true!! We had the most peaceful, relaxing vacation with stunning views and an extremely cozy home! 10/10 would recommend and I will 100% be staying here again!” – Caroline

Guest access

You’ll have access to the entire cabin main (upper and lower levels), huge deck, master balcony, hot tub and twenty acres to explore. Our property is meant to be a place of refuge and retreat from the normal day to day hustle. While you’re here make sure that you spend time in the hot tub, around the fire pit, swing in the swinging egg chairs and make your way through the trails throughout the property.

You’ll also have access to the two acre, spring fed private pond at the bottom of the mountain. It’s perfect for that late afternoon picnic or pond side lounge or leisurely fishing. Make your way up the stream to the top of the spring and find that the water comes right up out of the ground.

The main deck between the large cabin and the tiny cabin is a shared space. The tiny cabin may or may not be in use during your stay.

Other things to note

This cabin and the tiny cabin that is also on the property can be rented as one whole property (combining the tiny cabin and the big cabin) that will sleep a total of sixteen. If you’re interested in renting the whole property, please check out my other listings.

The main and lower levels of the cabin are not connected by interior stairs and both have separate entrances. The lower level can only be accessed by the lower deck.

There is plenty to do in and around the property and we encourage you to take a stroll down the private gravel road past the cabin as well as the 4×4 paved road down the mountain. Please do not attempt to drive down the mountain on the asphalt path unless your vehicle is equipped with four wheel drive (we’re not responsible for any stuck or damaged vehicles that may come from driving down to the pond)). It is VERY steep…perhaps a hike might be a better fit?
