About this space

Located just 9 miles from Monroe with easy access right off 601, this is the farm stay that you won’t soon forget. This 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom stay will have you waking up to cows in the morning and winding down to unforgettable sunsets in our over the pond gazebo in the evening.

Curated furnishings include two King suites, bunk room, lush couch and huge TVs. You’ll find a dock lined with string lights, swinging egg chairs and your personal hammock to take in the view and cool evening breeze.

The space

Wicker Branch is a 40 acre farm in Monroe, North Carolina. Conveniently located right off of Hwy 601 (Pageland Hwy) and just nine miles to Main Street in Monroe. You can enjoy a cozy fire on the farm, lounge on the “over the water” gazebo and walk the quaint historic downtown of Monroe all in one afternoon. Being only eight miles from Wingate University and just nine miles to Pageland, SC, the location is hard to beat for the Monroe Area. Enjoy the laid back country life and the urban convenience of Monroe in one stay. 

This is the main house on the farm and and is a 4,000 square foot, 4 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom house. This home has been recently remodeled and furnished with you, our guest, in mind. The first floor primary bedroom has a King Bed, 55” television, walk in closet with shelving and brings in the evening sunset with direct water front views of our pond.

The second floor includes a second primary suite with another king bed as well as additional rooms including bunk room (with two bunks, both having a twin bed on top and a queen bed on the bottom as well as each having their own twin trundle), and double twin bedroom. The second floor also includes your own dedicated workspace with a better view of the pond than you can get from almost anywhere else in the house. 

Enjoy comfortable furnishings in the living area with everything from a huge TV for movie nights with the kids, to the most plush rug you can run your hands through. Our living area is wide open to view the pond from the couch, breakfast nook or the kitchen. You’ll enjoy plenty of open space for all of your family and friends to gather during your stay. No matter what your plan is for the day, you’ll have plenty of room to work, play or just sip your coffee soak in the views. 

In the evenings, you’ll sit in the screened in porch in your own rocking chair, lounge in the hammock, warm up by the fire pit or just stroll along the water on our dock while you take in the sunset and hear the final call from our neighboring cows.

Guest access

You’re booking the main house on the farm, a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom brick home. In addition to your house, private patio, screened in porch and outrageous pond views, you’ll also have access to the 40 acres, pond, decks and “over the water” gazebo.

Other things to note

While Wicker Branch is no longer the working farm that it once was, there are remnants of that in different areas around farm. During your visit, you’ll see old barns, fields, fences and likely wildlife. In addition to barns, you’ll also see a barn on the property that is has an apartment on the second floor and is an other short term rental. You may see other guests that are staying in that apartment during your stay.

The dock, gazebo, large stone fire pit, fields and woods are all considered shared spaces between this house and the apartment on the farm. These are all beautiful places and we encourage everyone to use them, so you may or may not see other guests enjoying these spaces during your stay. 

We’re also constantly working to improve the property, so there are occasions where you may see myself or other workers during your stay but you won’t hear us. 

Wicker Branch is conveniently located on Hwy 601 and a quick trip to just about everything in the area. Depending on the time of year, guests may experience some road noise during the stay.
