Please follow the following steps in order to locate and check into the Blowing Rock Treepod. We’ve ordered and are awaiting new signs, please forgive the rudimentary, hand written signs.
Step 1: Look for this sign on 321.
You’ll be arrive in on Hwy 321. Please look for this sign on the side of the road that overlooks the view. Turn and head down the mountain on the asphalt road.
Please look closely during foggy conditions or at night as it can, at times, be difficult to see.
The sign is located just up hill from the condos on 321.
Step 2: See 2WD Parking
After turning off of 321, head down hill. After you past the flat spot on the right, you’ll see this parking sign on the left.
If you arrive in a 2wd vehicle, please use the dedicated parking space located to the left of the asphalt.
Step 3: If you have 2WD, Park here.
Please DO NOT ATTEMPT to drive any further down the driveway in less than four wheel drive or all wheel drive (4×4 or AWD ONLY).
Step 4: **4×4 OR AWD ONLY**
DO NOT ATTEMPT the driveway without 4×4 or AWD.
The 4×4/AWD ONLY driveway is the right turn that is directly across from a gravel driveway that is asphalt and leads down the mountain.
Step 5: Turn right at this sign, ONLY if you arrive in a 4×4 or AWD vehicle.
DO NOT ATTEMPT the driveway without 4×4 or AWD. If you have 4×4 or AWD, turn right at this sign and drive down the asphalt driveway.
Step 7: Follow the asphalt down the a 4×4 or AWD driveway.
Please follow the green arrows down the driveway until the asphalt ends and the gravel begins.
Step 8: Stay right at the fork in the road.
When the asphalt ends, please keep to the right.
Step 9: Keep right toward the Treepod.
When the gravel begins, please keep right at this sign that directs you toward the Treepod.
Step 10: Follow the gravel path.
Follow the gravel path and stay to the left to find the Treepod parking sign.
Step 11: Keep left to arrive in the Treepod parking area.
When the gravel begins, please keep right at this sign that directs you toward the Treepod.
Step 12: Treepod Parking
Please feel free to park any where you like in the gravel parking area dedicated for the Treepod.
Step 14: Walk past the stump in the trail.
Please walk down the trail that is to the right of the parking sign. Please park and walk past the stump in the trail.
Step 15: Continue down the trail toward the Treepod.
The Treepod is located at the end of the trail about 150 feet from where you park.
Step 17: Access the lockbox.
The lockbox is on the first post on the left after you step up and onto the deck.
Step 18: Enter the code.
You’ve received the code to the lockbox earlier this morning. Please use that code to access the keys.
Step 19: Enjoy your stay!
