Hands down, the best feature are the views, they are absolutely outstanding. The Blowing Rock TreePod has 100 mile views from the deck as well as the King Bed. From the King Bed, deck, hot tub and hammock, you’ll look out over Blackberry Gorge toward Charlotte and see until the earth makes its curve. If you’re not taking in the view with a cup of coffee from the luxurious king bed, you’ll be sipping on some sweet goodness while in the cozy Hot Tub.
Whether reading, napping, relaxing under the stars, or enjoying nature on outdoor furniture or in the hot tub after hiking, you just might spot birds and deer. Explore the 20 acres around the GeoDome, including our private pond complete with fish for the catching.
The king bed is situated directly underneath the skylight providing the unique opportunity to sleep underneath the stars. Whether it is fall and those fall colors are peeking through or the middle of summer, you won’t forget the experience of sleeping directly underneath the night sky.

Appalachian Ski Mountain is 5.5 miles, Tweetsie Railroad is only 6 miles away and ASU and Boone are 10 miles. Downtown Blowing Rock is just a 2.5 miles away. Banner Elk is just 17 minutes from the cabin and Grandfather Mountain is a quick jaunt on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

LOCATION
The TreePod is situated on a scenic 17-acre mountain property alongside one other TreePod. Both units can be booked separately or together for larger groups or families. Thoughtfully designed for guest privacy, the property offers a peaceful and secluded retreat where you’ll feel immersed in nature—not in your neighbor’s view.
This mountain escape is just minutes from downtown Blowing Rock, NC, and its close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and NC-321 offers easy access to hiking trails, restaurants, and attractions. Please note: depending on the season, some road noise from NC-321 may be heard from the property.
STEEP MOUNTAIN DRIVEWAY
Access to the TreePod requires a drive up a steep, gravel mountain road. For your safety, an AWD, 4×4, or front-wheel-drive vehicle is REQUIRED. If your vehicle doesn’t meet these criteria or you’re not comfortable driving on mountain terrain, we provide a dedicated parking area at the top of the drive. From there, it’s a 500-foot walk down to the TreePod.
WINTER WEATHER
In the event of snow or icy conditions, all guests—regardless of vehicle type—must park at the top of the driveway and walk 350 feet to the TreePod. Winter weather in this area is typically mild and snow rarely lingers for more than a day.
HEATING & COOLING
The TreePod features both heating and air conditioning, as well as space heaters and electric blankets to ensure comfort during your stay. However, because the TreePod is not insulated like a traditional home, temperature control may vary slightly. We recommend packing warm clothing during the winter months to stay cozy.
PARKING
On-site parking is free, but we can only accommodate one vehicle per reservation.
KITCHEN
During the colder months, the outdoor kitchen sink may be winterized to prevent frozen pipes. When this happens, fresh water is always available in the fully heated bathroom. Guests are welcome to use the propane grill (with grilling tools provided) for cooking. The TreePod also includes a French press, water kettle, and starter supplies like coffee, sugar, and creamer. A Keurig may also be available, depending on seasonal conditions.
