Twenty acres on a former Moses Cone apple orchard, 2.5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock. A 100-year-old cabin. A tiny cabin built in an artist's studio. Two geodesic domes perched in the trees. A private pond. Trails through the woods. And 100-mile views from every single structure.
The Orchard sits on 20 acres of mountain land that was once part of the Moses Cone family's apple orchard — the same family behind the Moses Cone Memorial Park and Flat Top Manor, two of the most visited landmarks on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The Grand Cabin was built over a century ago by the orchard's caretaker and eventually gifted to him by the Cone family. It's been carefully updated over the years to keep its character while adding every modern comfort. The Tiny Cabin started its life as an artist's studio for a well-known High Country painter before we transformed it into a retreat for two.
The two geodesic domes came later — perched at different elevations on the mountainside, connected by a handcrafted staircase built directly into the rock. Each has its own private hot tub, king bed, and a transparent roof for stargazing.
Between them all: a private pond, walking trails through the woods, a 700 square foot shared deck, and views that stretch over 100 miles toward Charlotte on a clear day. Everything sits just 2.5 miles from Main Street in Blowing Rock, with direct highway access and no winding back roads.
Most guests who've stayed at one of these properties have no idea the others exist. They're all on the same 20 acres. And for the first time, you can book them individually — or together.
Every stay shares the same 20 acres, the same 100-mile views, and the same proximity to Blowing Rock. What's different is the experience.
