Two geodesic domes perched on a mountainside, 2.5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock. Each with its own private hot tub, king bed, and 100 miles of uninterrupted mountain views through a transparent roof.
The GeoDome — Upper Dome · Higher Elevation · Wider Views
The TreePod — Lower Dome · More Secluded · Tucked into the Canopy
The Property — 20 Acres · Private Trails · Stocked Pond · Mountain Staircase
The Blowing Rock Domes sit on 20 acres of private mountainside just 2.5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock and minutes from Boone. Two geodesic domes — the GeoDome and the TreePod — are perched among the trees at different elevations, connected by a handcrafted staircase built directly into the mountain.
Each dome is its own private world. A plush king bed sits beneath a transparent roof designed for stargazing. Your own hot tub waits on a private deck with views that stretch over 100 miles of the Blue Ridge. A fire table, hammock, grill, and outdoor seating fill the space between the trees. Inside, a well-equipped kitchenette, high-speed WiFi, and a heated bathhouse with a conventional flushing toilet and hot water make this feel as comfortable as it is unforgettable.
During the day, explore the property's private trails and stocked pond. Walk to the Blowing Rock itself. Drive five minutes to Moses Cone Memorial Park. Grab dinner on Main Street without ever needing a highway. Then come back, sink into the hot tub, and watch the stars come out through the trees.
The domes are close enough to share an evening together — just a few hundred feet apart — but private enough that you'll feel like you have the entire mountain to yourself.
Fall asleep watching stars. Wake up to sunrise painting the mountains.

A few practical details so there are no surprises — just the good kind.
The property is on a mountain driveway. The GeoDome is accessible by FWD, AWD, or 4×4. The TreePod requires AWD or 4×4 only. If you don't have the right vehicle, you can park at the top and walk about 350-450 feet down to your dome. In winter weather, all guests park at the top regardless of vehicle.
Both domes have heating, cooling, space heaters, and electric blankets. But they're geodesic domes, not insulated houses — in the colder months, bring layers and warm clothing. That's part of the charm.
Each dome has a kitchenette with a French press, water kettle, coffee, creamer, and grilling tools. In winter, kitchen sinks may be closed to prevent frozen pipes — water is always available in the heated bathrooms.
The property is close to NC-321, so you may occasionally hear road noise. Most guests don't notice it over the wind in the trees, but we want you to know.
Free parking on premises. One vehicle per dome, two total if booking both. No RVs or trailers on the driveway.
Self check-in with a lockbox. Check-in at 3:00 PM, check-out at 12:00 PM. Ask us about early check-in or late check-out — we're flexible when the calendar allows.
But the dome makes it unforgettable.
"This 'snow globe' as we called it because of the snow we saw falling — was the perfect couples getaway. The location is breathtaking with the most beautiful views that you can enjoy from inside the globe or the hot tub. One of the best parts was the close proximity to downtown Blowing Rock."Kelsey — GeoDome Guest
